**Method:** structural pass over 1,955 trilateral roots in Jabal's lexicon → 155 distinct reverse-permutation pairs. Each pair graded against a 4-level scale: inverse / related / adjacent / unrelated.

## Interpretation

If reverse permutations carried **no** semantic relation to their source root, we would expect roughly equal noise across the four labels (~25% each), and the 'strong' bucket (inverse + related) to sit near 50% only by symmetry of the four-label scale. The observed strong-bucket rate is **51.6%** with `inverse` alone at **21.9%** — roughly matching that null expectation but with a notable concentration in the `inverse` bucket specifically (the canonical Anbar prediction). To test the rule rigorously we need a **null-model baseline**: re-run the same prompt on 155 *random* root pairs (matched on letter-frequency and root-length) and compare the strong-bucket rates. If the null floor is ~25–35% strong and the Anbar set sits at ~50%, the rule is empirically supported. If both sit near 50%, the rule has no information beyond background lexicon overlap.

**Provisional verdict (pre-baseline):** the 22% `inverse` bucket is the most informative number. Anbar's classical examples (قرأ↔رقأ, فكر↔كفر) are in the `inverse` bucket; the rule is correct on roughly one in five reverse pairs. The remaining 30% `related` and 24% `adjacent` are consistent with the weaker form of the rule ("some semantic resonance") but not the strong form ("meaning is reversed"). The 24% `unrelated` rate is an upper bound on the false-positive rate of the rule.
